tenement @ cloud city.
tenement is a band that was on a bunch of people’s best of 2011 lists that I had totally ignored, and now i feel like a big idiot. pure pop punk delight. also, the way they thrash around while they play is really reminiscent of guitar wolf. i really can’t think of higher praise than that.
some great footage from the even better signals midwest show at treehouse. if the guitar intro to “in tensions” doesn’t get you excited, then man, I just don’t think rock and roll is for you.

“In Tensions” and “Monarchs” from our show at The Treehouse in Philadelphia, PA on 1/7/12 with Restorations, Everyone Everywhere, Glocca Morra, Ma Jolie and Jet Set Sail. Tour has been amazing so far, and this show in particular was very special for us.
my parents visited last month and we went for a bike ride before philadelphia turned to ice. i’ve had the distinct pleasure to be raised by two people who love each other so much that they can share a tandem bike on a regular basis.
